Continuing Education (CE) Certificates

CE certificates provide evidence of compliance with the CE requirements of a state insurance department, CPA review board, state bar association, and so forth.

The majority of Institute programs have been approved for CE credit by state insurance departments, and the number of credits approved varies by state. Look up CE credits by state and by course, or contact Customer Service or call (800) 644-2101.

If you have valid resident producer/adjuster licensing information listed in our registration system, the Institutes will, upon your successful completion of an Institute exam, automatically order Continuing Education (CE) credits if the exam is approved for CE in your license state. For adjusters who are not required to report CE in their resident state, we will report to the nonresident state.

If you need CE credits for license renewal, please verify that your resident license state and number or NPN are in our system. For adjusters who are not required to report CE in their resident state, please add your nonresident license number(s) or NPN and state(s). Log on to My Profile and click on the State Continuing Education License information link at the bottom of the page. If you no longer require that CE be ordered for a particular license, please mark any such license(s) as invalid.

The Institutes do not charge for this service.

Some states do not grant credit for CPCU/IIA exams. Follow these steps to see if you can obtain CE credits for any of the Institutes’ courses that you have taken or plan to take.
