NEW WAIVERS FOR AAI

New waivers have recently been approved for the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI®) designation program. Insurance professionals holding the ACSR designation, a credential jointly created by the IIABA and the IIA, are entitled to the following waivers:

AAI 81—Foundations of Insurance Production
AAI 81 Segment B, Personal Insurance, is waived for ACSR Modules 1-5, 10, and 11.

AAI 82—Multiple-Lines Insurance Production
AAI 82 Segment A, Commercial Liability Insurance, is waived for ACSR Modules 4-9.

For details on the AAI designation program, visit our Web site or contact our Customer Service Department.

GRADE SCORING CHANGES FOR THE JANUARY–MARCH 2007 TESTING WINDOW

Because of the number and extent of revisions to newly published study materials for certain courses (AIC 33, ARM 56, AAI 83, APA 92, AIT 134, ASLI 163, and ASLI 164), students taking exams for these courses during the January–March 2007 testing window will not receive their grades at the time they take the exam. Instead, all results will be returned to the Institutes for analysis, and grades will be released the week of March 19, 2007.

2006 CONFERMENT HIGHLIGHTS

The conferment ceremony for the American Institute for CPCU’s 2006 class of 746 graduates of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) program took place on Saturday, September 9, 2006, in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The 2006 class brings the number of CPCU designations conferred since the program’s inception to more than 60,000.

Conducting the ceremony were Peter L. Miller, MBA, American Institute president and CEO, and James E. Rutrough, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, chairman of the American Institute’s board of trustees and vice chairman and chief administrative officer of the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company.

The conferment speaker was Dr. Jerry Linenger, a retired U.S. Navy flight surgeon and former NASA astronaut, who served as a member of one of the most dramatic and dangerous missions in space history aboard the Russian space station Mir. His story was one of self-reliance, internal strength, determination, and courage.

For a more detailed recap, visit the CPCU Society’s Web site.
