CPCU CONFERMENT DATE CHANGE
The CPCU Society Annual Meeting and Seminars will be held in Nashville, TN, September 9-12, 2006, which moves the meeting date six weeks earlier than it has been held in recent years. Additionally, the American Institute’s CPCU Conferment Ceremony will take place at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, NEW VERSION OF INSURANCE ESSENTIALS In October 2005, the Institutes released an updated version of its popular Insurance Essentials course. The new edition is a 12-module, Web browser-based CD-ROM that runs from a PC or a network server. Insurance Essentials teaches essential insurance concepts and provides a solid overview of the insurance industry in just four to six hours. The course is available for individual purchase or multi-user licensing. Students who opt to take the free multiple-choice exam and score at least 80% earn a certificate of completion from the Institutes. To facilitate administration of the Insurance Essentials exam, it is now offered at Institutes Approved On-Site Test Centers during our four testing windows. Alternatively, students may test at anytime via a secure server on our Web site by registering with Customer Service. Customer Service can provide further information on the newest edition of Insurance Essentials.

INSIDER INFO In 2005, the CPCU class numbered 885 and 19,194 CPCU exams were administered — a 6.4% increase over 2004. The increase in exam activity could be a result of students attempting to finish their studies in time for the 2007 Conferment Ceremony in Hawaii. | |
