Street-Level Ethics
The "Street-Level Ethics" workshop is sponsored by The Institues. The material was written by Chris Amrhein, AAI, a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry who is a speaker, consultant, seminar leader, and training material developer.
Following are three Word documents, a PowerPoint document, and a PDF file that you can review and download for your use in presenting an ethics-related workshop or seminar.
Facilitator's Guide
The guidelines are designed to allow an individual to lead a workshop on ethical decision making with a minimum of preparation. They give an overview of ethical decision making and step-by-step instructions on how to lead the workshop. A thorough discussion of all the material included could take from two to three hours.
Street-Level Ethics Outline
The outline, which should be copied for all workshop participants, gives the objectives and agenda for the workshop.
Ethics Case Studies
Fourteen case studies are printed on separate pages. Six cases are new for 2005, and eight were written for the workshop when it was introduced in 2003. Six cases relate to agent situations, four to underwriting situations, and four to claims situations. The facilitator will need to select the cases that seem most relevant to the audience and only copy those to distribute to attendees.
PowerPoint Presentation
Chris Amrhein developed this PowerPoint presentation to assist the facilitator in organizing and presenting the “Street-Level Ethics” workshop.
