Beginning January 2009, the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters/Insurance Institute of America (Institutes) will proudly offer 100 scholarships for the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU® ) designation program. The President's CPCU Scholarship will cover the costs of CPCU textbooks, course guides, SMART Study Aids (which include flash cards, review notes, and online practice exams), and the national exam—an estimated value of $3,800 per scholarship.

Company Guidelines:
Your organization determines the specific requirements for selecting a total of two nominees. However, there are a few guidelines in place to ensure that your nominees are successful. Your candidates must:
- Be nominated by the president, CEO, or chairman of your organization
- Be considered a high performer based on recent reviews
- Be targeted for advancement

College/University Guidelines:
Your institution determines the specific requirements for selecting a total of two nominees. However, there are a few guidelines in place to ensure that your nominees are successful. Your candidates must:
- Be a full-time, second semester sophomore or junior majoring in insurance, risk management, or finance
- Be nominated by the college dean or president
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher
