Course Leader Recognition Program
The Course Leader Recognition Program is designed to recognize those course leaders whose class pass ratios are equal to or better than the national pass ratios for the same period.
Importance of Course Leader Recognition
Most course leaders are working insurance and risk management professionals. They share their knowledge with their students and help them learn course material and prepare for Institute examinations. The Institutes would like to reward outstanding course leaders: those who have made a long-term commitment and whose results are exemplary.
Course Leader Award Details
Based on the information in the Study Group System, the Institutes will identify course leaders who meet the award criteria. We will then alert course sponsors and provide awards corresponding to the level of achievement.
Classes that qualify for the Course Leader Recognition Program must meet the following criteria:
- The class is listed in the Institutes' Study Group System.
- It contains five or more students.
- The class pass ratio is equal to or higher than the national pass ratio for that course in that time period.
Awards vary by the number of qualified classes, as follows:
| Number of Qualified Classes | 3 | 7 | 10 | 15 | 20 | 25 | 30 | 35 | 40 | 45 | 50 | 55 | 60 |
Types of Recognition
The Institutes offer a combination of public recognition events, press releases, and various gifts (depending on number of qualified classes) to recognize outstanding course leaders. Current gifts include briefcases, plaques, and engraved crystal bowls.
