The Institutes´ Associate in Marine Insurance Management program balances the study of specialized ocean and inland marine insurance and underwriting content with material on the overall business of insurance so that you can apply your knowledge to a wide variety of situations. Plus, because you can earn a certificate of completion or the AMIM designation, you can customize the program to suit your specific knowledge needs.
Meeting the AMIM program requirements earns the AMIM designation. Passing the AMIM 121 and 122 exams earns a certificate of completion.
You may choose to earn a certificate of completion by passing the AMIM 121 and 122 exams. The courses below (plus two electives) are required to earn the AMIM designation:
AMIM 121—Ocean Marine Insurance: Shipping Fundamentals; Cargo Insurance Policies; Cargo Underwriting; Protection and Indemnity; Hull Insurance; Hull Underwriting; P&I Underwriting; Underwriting Tugs, Barges, and Other Vessels; Coverages for Shipyards
AMIM 122—Inland Marine Insurance: Transit, Motor Truck Cargo, Contractors Equipment, Builders Risk, Dealers Policies, Bailee/Bailor, Computers and Communication Equipment, DIC, Output, Fine Arts Insurance
