Why you need this course:
An insurance policy’s structure depends on the coverage it provides. By being familiar with policy formation, common policy provisions, and declarations, you’ll be able to analyze whether or not a policy covers a specific loss, and if so what the insurer will pay for that loss. This course will help you understand policy fundamentals so that you can analyze the coverage provided.
Upon successful completion of all three modules in this course, you should be able to:
- Explain how insurance policies can be structured
- Identify common insurance policy provisions and the purpose of each
- Explain how to read an insurance policy to determine whether a claim is covered
