Why you need this course:
Today’s professionals and professional organizations face a growing assortment of loss exposures. Because many forms of commercial insurance are available and policy coverages vary, sometimes considerably and sometimes subtly, knowledge of these products and how their coverages apply will enable you to help your customers find the right solution to their professional liability needs and manage loss exposures not covered under many standard policies.
Upon successful completion of all five modules in this course, you should be able to:
- Describe the loss exposures insured by the following management liability coverages:
- Directors and officers liability insurance
- Employment practices liability insurance
- Employee benefits liability insurance
- Fiduciary liability insurance
- Describe aircraft-related exposures and the coverages that can be included in an aircraft insurance policy.
- Explain how an organization domiciled in the United States can insure foreign loss exposures that would not be covered under standard property and liability insurance policies.
- Describe the characteristics of surety bonds, including how surety bonds contrast with insurance.
- Describe the circumstances that create the need for surety bonds and the guarantees provided by the various types of contract bonds and commercial surety bonds.
