How To Register for an Exam

Follow these two steps to register for your exam:

You can register online (U.S. exam sites only), by phone at (800) 644-2101, or by fax at (610) 640-9576 and charge your registration to VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or Diners Club. If you wish to pay by check or money order, you may mail your registration to Customer Service, AICPCU/IIA, 720 Providence Rd., Suite 100, Malvern, PA 19355. These fees are nonrefundable and cannot be transferred for use by another person. Fees must be paid in U.S. funds only.

After you register with the Institutes, schedule an appointment to take your exam at a Prometric Testing Center or at an Institutes Approved On-Site Testing Center. If you registered online, by phone, or by fax, wait two business days before making your appointment at a Prometric Testing Center, or an Institutes Approved On-Site Testing Center. If you registered by mail, wait two weeks before contacting the testing operator to make an appointment. The sooner you make an appointment, the greater your chance of getting a date you prefer.

You may take the same exam no more than two times in a given testing window (maximum four times per calendar year). Exam retakes (other than Exams-on-Request) are subject to the full applicable registration fee.
